We've all heard the phrases, "time flys" and "it seems like yesterday", and can relate to them at one point or another in our lives. For me, watching my own children grow brings truth to both statements.

There's also 5 beautiful young ladies who hold a special place in my heart, and causes just a small ache when I think about how little they were "just yesterday". Their mom and I were talking about it & wondering "where the time went." There is also a piece of all our hearts that's missing...

                                                   A CHILD'S PARADISE

Dear Jesus,

     When you watch our Angel, playing in the sun
     her smile, shining brightly, as she skips and runs,
     and you kneel to catch her, as she jumps into your arms
     would you let a sunbeam across her cheek be warm?

    And then, would you send that sunbeam near
    to warm our faces and dry our tears,
    for heaven seems so far away
    while we miss her most today.

   Our hearts know true, that her earthly home
   would not hold her very long,
   and her mission, showed faith, patience, love
   her gifts instilled by a loving God.

   Taught us Angels don't allways need
   to prove themselves by word or deed,
   for we find the greatest treasure
   in knowing Families are Forever.

   For now, dear Jesus, by your side
   our precious Angel will reside,
   happy to shine, our sunbeam of light
   guiding the way to paradise.
